About Tampa Local Listings
Tampa Local Listings is a free directory of local businesses across Tampa Bay. I'm Brandon Boswell — a US Marine Corps veteran who lives in Valrico and runs RunRate Digital — and I built it so the good local businesses around here are easier to find.
Why I built it
Search for a roofer, a plumber, or a place to get your brows done in Tampa Bay, and a lot of what comes back is national sites, ads, and lead-gen pages that sell your request to whoever pays the most. The local shop down the road — the one your neighbor swears by — often doesn't show up at all.
I work with local businesses every day through RunRate Digital, and I keep seeing good ones lose customers to competitors that simply have a bigger online footprint. Tampa Local Listings is my answer to that: a directory that's only about Tampa Bay, organized the way people actually search here — by trade and by neighborhood.
How the directory works
- Local only. Every listing is a business serving the Tampa Bay area — 1,144 of them today, sorted into 32 trades and 15 neighborhoods.
- Free to list. No credit card, no contract, no paid tier. Owners can add their business in about five minutes.
- Checked by a person. New submissions are reviewed before they go live, and owners claiming an existing listing verify it with a code sent to the business email on file.
- Owners stay in control. Once a listing is claimed, the owner can update hours, photos, services, and contact info anytime from their dashboard.
Why it's free
Because local business matters. A directory that charges owners to be seen ends up showing you whoever paid, not whoever's good. Keeping it free keeps it useful. Tampa Local Listings is built and maintained by RunRate Digital.
